I suppose that solder joints may become weakened over time, and evaporate on the motherboard, but you can re-solder such things. The motherboard in general likely has a particular lifespan, if the silicone is cheap. But if you baby it (keep it out of extreme heat or cold and dusty places), there's no reason it shouldn't last you for at least 20 years or so. Possibly more.
