Hello everyone,
my first post here after being a lurker for what must be years. I managed to lose my H140 with 60 GB HD, so it's time for a new player. I have an H120 on the way, as well as an 80 GB 5 mm Toshiba MK8022GAA (iPod 6G pull,) which I hope to install using Stolltech's IDE to ZIF method. I hope to report back within two weeks. I'm not sure if I should look around for an old 1.8" HD or CF card to crack open to use the female connector from, or solder directly to the iRiver board/connector somehow. Also not sure if the iPod HD will be crippled to prevent it from working in other players. I have an adapter on the way to test it on my computer. Suggestions are welcome.
