Wallisa, I doubt that the Iriver can be modified to receive DAB. Just relax and wait. In Germany there were similar plans to replace the analog transmitters by DAB, and we already had a couple of DAB transmitters. However, DAB in Germany is dead now. Mainly for two reasons. It turned out that in densely populated areas with a lot of transmitters, the DAB signals disturb adjacent analog channels much more than analog channels, and if DAB is disturbed by adjacent analog or DAB channels, the transmission just gets interrupted, and you will hear - nothing. A slightly disturbed analog transmission can still be heard, and you can follow the news. But DAB just quits if some bits are not transmitted correctly. DAB would require completely new frequency plans with less transmitters in city areas. In addition, nobody wanted to buy new radios. The number of sold DAB receivers has always been far behind the planned numbers. I guess that in the UK, DAB will undergo a similar development because the technical problems are the same.
