So I have every copy of the firmware as of now on my desktop. I've followed the instructions, formatted my disk FAT32, "unziped the iriversys directory from the zip files into the pmp-140 so that I now have the folder "iRiverSys" and thats it.
Lets say for example the "iRiverSys" folder I installed was for Firmware 2.04, when i boot my PMP-140 up I get the "Boot Failure" with the notation on the bottom "Firmware Ver 1.24" - No matter what version of the firmware I try to load I still get that very message. I cant get past this menu to update the firmware.
If I remember correctly, wasnt there a folder called "Root" on the pmp as well? Can somebody zip the Root Directory and the iRiverSys directory, and any other system files that ARE installed on the PMP and post them on the forum? or email it to
mrbrian@gmail.com - I would appreciate it very much. if you could do this for version 1.24 that would be greatly appreciated.
Well I hope that I am not alone here. I've tried everything to get my PMP working again. I still regret not just leaving it alone in the first place!!
