Try reformatting it. I've had a few small problems with my iriver s10 as well, and reformatting has always fixed it. I'm assuming you know what this means and how to do it...
on firmware v 1.05KR, it's under SETTINGS>>Advanced>> Format Device

Just in case you don't know, this will delete any media you have on it.
