Are you SURE a Nokia charger physically fits the iHP-120/140? I have several Nokia chargers from various newer and older Nokia phones which all appear to have the same plug and none of them fits into my iHP-120. They seem to be either slightly too large on the outside diameter and/or the inner pin hole is too small.
Also, the Nokia chargers I have use a -(+)- pin polarity. That seems to be the same as the polarity on my iHP-120 charger, not opposite.
Maybe Nokia phones have different power connectors for US vs. UK handsets?
In any event, I strongly caution anyone trying to use a non-iRiver charger to make sure to check and double-check all of the details themselves instead of just trying something because you saw it on-line. It may be right if your situation matches that of the person posting the details 100%, but it could be wrong and you may fry your player.
