An easy guess would be the "owner of an internet-shop" did not actually check at all.
In order to do that they would have to have immediate access to their inventory (many don't) and they would have to be willing to open a package just to check something for someone who is not yet a customer. Most aren't going to be willing to do that because it would mean they would either have to sell the opened package as "open-box" at a discount or send it back to the manufacturer for credit. Most aren't about to do that just to "check something" for someone who did not even purchase from them. Especially a person who can't be bothered to check specifications with the manufacturer if that person
must have a particular and not-often-seen feature.

Uhhh ... two people in this thread have already told you about 2 that are currently on the market.
TonyInPortland told you about the T50 and Fritz told you about the T60. It's probably wise to trust their assessments since they own those players. You asked if Fritz was "sure" about the T60 ...well if he wasn't then how would he have known the exact number of seconds increments run on study mode?
