Yeah but that's spoken from the point of view of a customer and, consequently, is wrong.

I mean, I agree with you in principle but at the end of the day, you're choosing to buy an iPod, so if it doesn't do what you want, that's kind of tough. Look at it this way, if you choose to buy something and it doesn't do what you want, then there's either two things have happened - firstly, you're aware of the limitations of the device but have chosen to buy it anyway. Or, secondly, you didn't do enough research and it's your own damn fault (to put it mildly ).
Either way though, it isn't broken just because it doesn't do want people want.

I'm afraid I don't really have time to go into any more detail but that's the gist of it.
