As for the Archos 605, this is one fine looking player that I might consider at some point in the future. If they improved on the 604 Wifi's screen this might just be a winner.

I agree, I wouldn't pay that much for one. The 605 is reasonably priced IMHO, considering its list of features. Something that combined the best features of the two, at a price between the 605 and Q5 would be perfect.
I wonder if Rockbox will get ported to either of them...
My next player purchase will probably be an iPod video of all things, because of some rather cool accessories in the development pipeline (the advantages of working for a consumer audio company
