The fact is, clix is a joined project for iriver and Microsoft to develop a MTP only U10 model and the partnership really isn't something iriver can just ignore all together.
This poll has served its function on the sense that the clix2 development team did say that the inclusion of MTP-UMS function into clix2 is based on 'users request' when they were interviewed on clix2 press release.
As clix slowly makes its way into history, the chances for a clix UMS firmware release is getting slimmer and slimmer (if there is such chances in the first place). Personally, I rather see the standby time been reduced from the current 24hours to 6~8 hours (or better yet, a true shutdown) in the next firmware than anything else. At least, such update will improve the battery usage and extend the 'real life' battery life quite a lot.
