In UK at any rate, the 4gb Clix2 is 140GBP whilst the S10 2gb is 90GBP. (so they are not the same price with double the capacity in the clix2!)
Is it worth paying 55% extra for 2gb more capacity?
what if you're not the sort of person who watches tv, is there much point paying 55% extra if you won't even make use of the excellent moving pictures feature of the clix2?
I am also in the same boat, I had a sansa e270 because i thought i needed capacity at the time, and the clix was only 4gb when i bought it.
Since the headphone jack in my sansa broke, ive been using my 1gb t30 and found 1gb is actually not too bad, so hopefully 2gb would do me fine. It's not as though i'm ever away from my laptop more than a day, so i can always transfer more on them. the battery life does seem disapointing though, at only 8hrs, but i read in another review online, that one guy had his s10 playing for 3hrs, and one bar had barely come off...so maybe there are ways of improving battery life. maybe if you use shure e5c's and turn the volume down to 1 (like i do with my t30)?
So, what I wish to ask the iriver enthusiasts:
any reasons to pick the clix2 over s10 is you dont watch moving pictures or are not too worried about the battery life (always a pc/laptop around to recharge, and dont listen 24/7 anymore anyway). actually, i shouldnt even ask as im on a budget anyway.
I just hope my sansa is replaced under warranty so i can sell it to pay towards my s10 is i decide to buy it.

having said all that, i can envisiage scenarios where an 8hr battery life would be a hinderance, and it isnt always convenient to recharge using pcs/laptops. but those would be rare instances, and doing without audiobooks/music for a few days of the yr isn't going to kill me (the opposite in fact!).
