It's actually really simple to use VLC and the batch file, however, this isn't really the thread to talk about it, but i will anyway.
All you need to do is open up the batch file in Notepad (Right-Click and choose Edit usually)
Then you change the following lines:

set HEIGHT = 240
|
To the correct dimensions for your player. Then you save it (Make sure you do... and make sure it's still saving as a .bat) and sipyl drag and drop nearly any video onto it.
You do have to download VLC (
http://www.videolan.org/) for this to work, just in case you're like one of my mates...
