I have no idea if this is the problem, but since it's a removeable battery it could very well be. I think :P My theory is that the battery is not placed correctly, so it loses contact with the player when you shake it. That would explain everything, I think. I do not have a x20 myself but im thinking of buying one, although the sound quality worries me a little bit.
