Did you use an "prong" adapter or a voltage converter? Did you look to see what the voltage RANGE was on the power supply? Some power supplies are rated at 110v AND 220v (or thereabouts). Others however are ONLY for a single voltage. I don't have mine at hand to look. But if you used a prong adapter and a power supply rated ONLY for 110v you may have fried it even if you don't see any visible signs.
