Yes, i have to agree that saying it's crap is useless.
Here's here's the non-"it's crap" version:

- The scrollpad is a tad sensitive for my liking.
- The sound quality is (IMHO) nothing to write home about.

And yes, i know creative sued apple, but apple counter-sued for other interface elements.
I thought your original post wasn't too bad... you didn't attack me personally in any way so I don't care. I'm not sure how you listened to your friends' zvm but I had to fiddle w/ the custom EQ a bit to get something that sounds good. And it does sound really good now. I turned the smart volume on which made a pretty big difference in sound.

The scrollpad sensitivity can be adjusted, so that complaint is already nullified by a feature that you/your friend overlooked. Plus like I said it does take getting used to. Diddling your friends isn't going to get you enough practice especially when owning another touch-pad controlled dap.

Also the menu is fully customizable, down to the color and where things are at. If you don't filter things by genre/year/etc, then you can disable that menu option leaving only what you want! It's pretty fantastic so again, a complaint made nullified by an already established feature.

The sound quality is the only thing that I've disliked... and if you're using rockbox than it's obvious why you don't like it as well. It doesn't sound great flat but it sounds really nice once you play with the EQ. And I can't remember who said it (Step or SS maybe?) but they made the damn good realization that sound quality is really subjective. If I didn't like really punchy bass than my SQ 'complaint' would be gone. Lots of folks don't like how the e2cs sound but I love them.
