I got this for xmas, and all in all is a pretty worthwhile successor to my h120. There's so many reviews on this thing I won't go into details, but I'll glaze over a few things.
Sound quality was my only disappointment and it's pretty minor... it doesn't have as punchy of bass as I'd like. It gets sort of distorted if I turn the low end up too much. Of course I've been spoiled by rockbox the last year or so, so that could be part of my problem

The screen is gorgeous, and the video support is fantastic. I don't have to convert anything really. It's supported damn near everything I've thrown at it. It supports custom wallpaper, and you can dim it on the dap itself before applying so it makes the text easier to read. It's the little things people
The controls are a bit odd at first but pretty easy to get used to.
They stopped shipping AC adapters with them. Luckily they use the same as the PSP and h3xxs and I have a PSP so I lucked out. They use a small plastic adapter that has a mini usb and the ac adapter port. Better than a proprietary cable, but there's still the problem of losing that adapter.
The software is basically drag and drop. Very easy and quick.
There's a shortcut button you can assign to lots of stuff, like instantly shuffling your entire collection and playing it or playing your highest rated songs. Good idea and convenient.
Batt life so far appears decent by stock hdd daps these days.
That's about all for now
