Am I right in thinking that the ipod batteries that require a swap of the leads to the molex still have the black and the red in the same position as the original iriver battery?I dont have a multimeter with me as Im away from home, but my replacement seems to have the same colours to the same pins as the original.
Do I still need to swap them .It is sold as a 2200mah ipod replacement.
BTW my original battery died in 9h50mins with the iriver firmware 1.29k do you guys agree that that makes it pretty well shot.
heres the setup usedfor the test, I think its the recomended way:
xxxxxxxxxxxx
H340 Battery check:
original 1300mah battery
charged complete plus one hour!!
IRIVER FW 1.29k
vol 20
mp3 128k cbr
lcd brightness:0
no remote
senheiser earplugs
no eq
1 dir on repeat: (1 album of 80mins at 128kmp3)
screen on about 4 times very briefly
start time : 2 nov 2006 23.20
finish time: 3 nov 2006 09.10
total time 9h 50min
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Shouldnt it be nearer 14 hours?
oh and one thing that has me puzzled why does rockbox (experimental build) show a remaining time for battery life of just over 8hours with a fully charged 1300mah battery? Is it a hangover from the old days before they worked out the USB OTG power drain or is it a realistic time if ur shuffling around and using the screen?
