somewhere above someone mentioned the ipods99 iriver ready battery, but that is a 1700 mah battery, and is $29.95 - no bargain there and if you are going to open up your player, why not add 5+ hours of playing time by getting a 2200 mah ipod 1g/2g battery and simply switching the wires? It really is easy.

If you are on your 3rd replacement, there is something wrong somewhere
There have been reports that it may be board not the battery sometimes
Are you leaving your ac adapter attached after the battery is full and your not using it?
