I am on my 3rd replacement battery. This time I went with the Newertech. my last one was a Cameron Sino purchased off ebay, the first replacement was a no-name. Let's hope the third battery is the charm. The prior 2 replacements started off great, and my Cameron Sino gave me over 24 hours on my first test out of the box (constant play of "random all" until player died).

The replacement this go-round was a snap - having done it twice previously, the entire process took less than half an hour. Tweezers are key!

somewhere above someone mentioned the ipods99 iriver ready battery, but that is a 1700 mah battery, and is $29.95 - no bargain there and if you are going to open up your player, why not add 5+ hours of playing time by getting a 2200 mah ipod 1g/2g battery and simply switching the wires? It really is easy.
