Anyway, I opened my player to put the new Hard Drive in and found it a bit of a tight squeeze. I eventually had to cut out some of the blue rubber padding the get the drive to lie flat. So I reassebled the unit and to my surprise.... nothing.
Any button I press lights up the display but no matter what I do, the HD will not spin up, and no text of any sort will show up on the screen. Now, i figured it was a HD thing, but I put my old HD(40GB) back in and I got the same result.
Now, I have no enclosure that I can pop the drive into in order to test it, but with both of my drives acting the same way, I'm inclined to think the issue is with the player. (if necessary, I could open up my brother's H320 to test it/format etc... but that would be if all else failed)
Any idea if there is a simple fix to this, or is my H140 toast?
