But, IIRC, one can purchase a separate "transfer unit box" which one connects between camera and the iHP player, and which then allows the transfer to be done. I believe Macauley (sp?) makes a couple of such units, and they were under $50.

MORE INFORMATON: The Macally device (the first version; can't seem to find the second, although it's been listed as "coming soon" at the Macally website for maybe more than a year, now?) seems to be out-of-stock all over, although it is available for just under $40 + s/h at B&H Photo.

Perhaps the reason for this is the declining price of memory cards, when one easily can get a 1GB card for US$20-30 and a 2GB card for a little more. At that price point, and if one is considering something for use with a digital camera, the memory card could provide a cost-effective alternative.
