If this is the same person who started a thread here about dropping their PMP/PMC, then the answer is that the hard drive is toast. If the unit is within the warranty period, contact iRiver about getting it repaired. Otherwise, there is another thread here about replacing the hard drive - this is for the geeks, though. Lots of iddie-biddie screws.
