Hey all, wow its been a while since ive been here (not that i havent been using my player, just didnt realize i would come back and find mods and firmware upgrades galore). Anyway, i had the exact same problem and i did fix it....sorta. Ok so i had dust in the screen and it was really obvious that it came through the remote whole, so i go to home depot and buy a screw driver. They had a few t5s. torx is metric, and is more commonly called hex or star in the u.s. (boy did it take me a while to figure that one out). Anyway i crack it open and get most of the dust out with just a kleenex. I wouldnt reccomend doing that. Use an eyeglass cleaning cloth or something. And dont get it wet cuz even just water will streak. Anyway i get rid of the dust and pop it all back together. Works fine. (btw u will be shocked at how miniscule the hd is). Anyway, the dust came back, and i lost the screw driver so now ive still got the same problem. its not worth fixin if itll come back again in two weeks. However, if i remember correctly (and i dont know why i didnt thinkof this then), it wouldnt be too hard to slap a tiny piece of electric tape right under the port on the inside. I dunno, give it a shot. Personally, im gonna try the compressed air, but i dont think itll work.
p.s. this is what the alphabet would look like if q and r did not exist.
