Thanks Redwood,

it's a great resource.

I'm not sure to what extent mics that are good for concerts would also be good for close proximity voice recording. The binaurals look good, but you'd have to clip them on to your interviewee, I guess, which might slow you down a bit.


There's also the question of bumping noise when you're holding a mic in your hand and to and fro-ing it to the person you're interviewing.

The other issue is portability and toughness in being able to be thrown in a bag and carted around a bit.
