so this is a spot for my first post. The drives in the 5/6gb are pretty much CF type II microdrives. Hitachi and Seagate make them, and they're pretty much in all 5-8gb players. The largest out there is an 8gb at the moment and you can pick them up for about $150. You can then ebay your 5gb one if you want to recoup some of the costs. I don't know about the irivers, but with the Rio Carbon you can even use a Type I CF flash card and essentially have a 4gb flash player instead of one that has a drive, though I know your goal is to go larger.

As for me, I was a loyal Rio person with a karma, carbon and forge. The Karma is gone and the 20gb H10 will serve as it's replacement until somebody comes out with a player sporting Sigmatel's STMP3600 chipset. That'll be the gold standard for all that care about quality in their DAP. Till then, iRiver it is.

also, with the 1.8" drive in the H10; has anyone done a drive swap and gone larger? Anyone know the largest drive that will fit in the h10 without modding?
