Beware that if you have a US player, putting Rockbox on it will remove DRM support permenantly. It will also void the warranty.
Rockbox also give a lot more features that the iriver firmware, like on-the-fly playlists, gapless playback, and even things like games (and DOOM
!). It doesn't currently support WMA playback, but it may do in the future (but DRM will not happen).
Another thing to note is Rockbox doesn't play videos, but you can boot back into the iriver firmware at any time by holding down record when you turn on your player.
