I have not used the iPod firmware after the first 24 hours. Under RB, I cant notice the difference between the iPod and the iRiver besides the buttons/wheel.
Well one difference. You cant stop the bloody thing, so I cant clear the current playlist, and there is no quickmenu, so going to and from shuffle is much slower.
