JB - Thanks for the advice. I also have a large number of Minidiscs for which I don't own the original CD. Given that I have a such a large number of CDs in my possession now to rip, this will take me until october - and then I can see what quality / performace MD -> MP3 gives.
Do you know of a Minidisc player that has an optical out - I know Sony were not keen on implementing them on any of their devices.
