That would be a brave hack!
No idea if there is enough room and if the battery voltage is right. As for the sound signal you can probably tap off the line out.
I suggest you fit an external power swich for the bluetooth unit. It's a sain safety feature and you may have to charge your Iriver a lot otherwise if the idle power consumption is high
