Well, yeah. But the chances of someone not having a computer but having a DAP are pretty slender aren't they? (Actually I do know someone with an iPod but no computer. He has to go to his Mum's house to load tracks on.)
The specific justification for the format was that 40Gb+ drives could not be formatted on some PCs. It seemed a bit strange that the command was not only available on machines which have drives way smaller than 40Gb, but hat exactly the same reason was given in the official description for the H110.
I'm not querying the rationale behind the inclusion for the H120/140 (even though I'd much rather it was an optional extra, or a whole lot harder to invoke).
