Ahh. I see. Crikey, you did scare me with that EXE lark!
Hmm. Sounds like either:
1) Hardware fault with PC, or T30. Make sure you have a fresh battery and that you don't have any other USB devices plugged in. Go direct to the PC's port, no hub.
2) Bad Win2K MTP driver setup. Check and check again.
3) Bad Win2K installation. Reinstall (ouch!)?
4) Bad format on T30. Reformat.
The process outlined certainly does work. I garuntee it. If you have to, try a friends PC with either my method on 2K or the standard method on XP or the Linux method. If it works, it's your home setup. If it doesn't, take the T30 back to the shop.
