Yes, it is a bit more refined than that. The perspex holder is bolted to the bracket with small countersunk bolts so that the head is flush with the perspex and then the felt was stuck ontop.
The metal bracket is attached behind the dash using an existing facia fixing screw behind the radio as shown in the attached pictures.
Also attached are pictures of the bracket & holder before spraypainting.
