Before I made this holder I used the remote with the player just sitting under the dash. The problem was that I couldn't see the display on the remote very well and I felt I was spending too much time trying to make out what the display read instead of paying attention to driving. Now, I can see the main display very clearly, can control it easily and there is one less cable draped around (the remote cable).
I wish I had a line-in on my car stereo, although I was pleasently supprised by the sound quality from the tape adapter.
