I have never defragmented or formatted my HD yet. But then again I never delete any of the music that I've copied.
I only keep updating rockbox but I bet my HD is quite defragmented even with that... I really should defrag. sometime really, but since I never/hardly boot Windows the defrag will have to wait till my player becomes slower than my grandma'.
