Your computer should be recognizing it when you see "Bootloader USB Mode" - but, you're not the only one to report this problem. I'm not sure of the fix. When I plug my H340 into the USB from the off position I see the "Bootloader USB Mode" and my computer picks it up.
Maybe just boot into Rockbox before plugging it into USB until the next bootloader comes out and see if that fixes the issue?
