maybe some folks who have expired, lost or stolen non ibod DAP's might consider going with a bitten apple ( there's a adam and eve story there somewhere), it is after all the most common player available in the western world, if statistics are anything to go by, hence making them cheap and available second hand, also spares are readily available, and now that Rockbox is working for it, it will now have a decent OS (Rockbox). I dont neccessarily dislike the ibod, it just doesn't appeal to me I have two H140's and I dont think I'll purchase another DAP for a long time to come, maybe I'll buy another player if it has hardware that impresses, like a digital amp, (which the kenwood has and I'm eyeing), if they make a 40 gig version of their HD20GA7 (this kenwood is unfortunately only available in japan), maybe..... but then there's the firmware, I love rockbox, wonder if the Rockbox chaps would consider the kenwood for porting

toys............must have. Whatever my circumstances any new DAP will have to be able to run Rbox, unless it's stock firmware is close to Rockbox's firmware, and up to now its only the Rio Karma which has firmware which compares very well to Rbox.
link to the kenwood, its all in japanese, sadly. It appears to be the most audiophile DAP on the market.
