4,700 downloads and no one bothered to tell me that the script I posted didn't work on non-English systems? I've updated it to be universal.
I apologize to anyone running a non-English system if it errored out telling you that you needed to install SP2.
Also I am still interested in finding all the root causes of the registry permission issue. If you do have this, and are willing, send me the files in your c:\windows\inf directory that start with OEM and then a number. (zip them together since there will likely be a few of them.) I’ll compare them to others’ systems and look for commonalities.
