Hi,
I've been trying to contact Slasheri with no luck. Can't find him on MR and don't know how to contact him through rockbox

If somebody could please pass on this message I'd be grateful!

Hi there,
I was trying to PM you on IRC but was having troubles. Hopefully you will get this.

I've been having some issues with crossfade mix that I'm not sure if you are aware of or not but I just thought I'd let you know anyway

I started a thread here ( http://www.misticriver.net/showthread.php?goto= newpost&t=35782 ) and this is the conversation on IRC I had with Linus and the others:

<webguest12> oh, just wondering, this is cormie from the mysticriver board, not sure what the story is with what I should be asking here and I'm not sure if it's known or unknown but there are some issues with crossfade/mix options.

<LinusN> describe the issues

<webguest12> These issues have only been present since the options of crossfade fade in/out delay/duration were applied, before when it was a simple crossfade/mix/off option and then the duration up to 14 seconds, it worked perfect. Anyway, when you have mix selected and the fade in/out duration at 15 seconds, it cuts off and doesn't fully fade out. I don't think it mixes like it used to either.

<LinusN> webguest12: it would be easier for us if you could present a step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce the error

<webguest12> ok, if you have your H1XX there, just switch it on and put the fade in/out duration to 15 seconds and put it to mix. The best way to hear this is by playing a song and while it's loud, skip to a song with a low intro, you will hear the way it just cuts off the song towards the end of the mix.

<preglow> the current crossfade options are bit hard to understand

<preglow> slasheri was going to simplify them, but it hasn't happened yet

<webguest12> but there will probably still be the glitches even if the options are simplified no?

<preglow> doesn't mix turn off crossfading and just overlap the tracks?

<webguest12> http://www.misticriver.net/attachmen...tid=2547&stc=1 that's the difference between crossfade and mix, option a is crossfade and b is mix

<webguest12> did you get that link preglow?

<webguest12> Linus?

<webguest12> LinusN: did you see what I said above about the errors and how to reproduce them?

<LinusN> webguest12: yes

<XavierGr> webguest12 better tell this error to Slasheri

..... and that's when I thought I'd PM you

If I could help I would but I haven't got a clue about coding
