I've searched this thread, but there seems to be nothing about my problem:

With Version 0.14 under Windows XP, mencoder keeps crashing. I haven't yet encoded a single file. I was going to try different versions of mencoder, but found out I couldn't tell how to tell iriverter which mencoder.exe to choose. At one time, I had the files C:\Program Files\mplayer-newest\mencoder.exe and C:\Program Files\mplayer-dev\mencoder.exe and still iriverter neither encountered problems finding an mencoder.exe, neither did it tell me which one it picked.

Is there a way to avoid these mencoder-crashes?

PS: Since this thread has 1100+ replies, wouldn't it be appropriate to make some new folders in the forum like "iriverter windows problems", "iriverter mac problems", "iriverter praise", "iriverter suggestions/feature requests"?
