What DancinBanana said. Funny this should come up, actually. I was hanging out with one of my friends a couple nights ago, and she was complaining that her ancient RCA Lyra refused to turn on. I remembered seeing this thread, so the first thing I checked were the battery contacts. They were clean, and there was no choice but to do the only logical thing: keep taking the batteries out and putting them back in and pressing random buttons. I unexpectedly revived the Lyra this way. I guess I'm a DAP whisperer, or something. Sometimes it's the really stupid simple stuff that does the trick. Hope you get the 799 working again.
