I've read all 406 posts since the birth of this thread, but one thing I'm sure hasn't been requested is this. Now if it has, sorry!
Would it be possible to have a DJ mode where you can listen to 2 songs at once, one would be channelled through the headphone jack and the other through the line out jack. So yo could have the line out jack connected to speakers and you could find a spot in the next song with headphones where you want to fade them in. you pause it at that spot and then when it comes to the time in the song playing on the speaker that you want to change songs, you press a button and it switches songs from headphone to line out and visca versa with volume increasing on one and decreasing on the other to get a good mix.
Just an idea!
I think there was also an idea of having a password to enable the unit to be turned on, if this was incorporated with a personal boot up splash screen to give personal details (phone number and name) so if you lose it, people wont be able to use it, unless they knew their tech stuff and may think without the PW it's useless increasing your chances of it being returned to you. Maybe:P
Speaking of passwords actually, how about having a screensaver type password so that if you enqueue a few songs at a party and leave the player alone, a screensaver will come on, or just now playing info. And to get back into the menu, or to get it off that screen, once you press a button, your prompted to enter a password and when you put the password in you have full access. This would be a good way to stop people messing with your H and wrecking your playlists!
Has the LCD screen auto turn off been implemented? I suggested it about a year ago on the official iriver forums and maybe they listened to me by doing it with the H3XX, or maybe they thought it up themselves. It could be another good way to save on power.
Also, I've heard a few complaints regarding this; When I have my H plugged into the wall socket, and i have it connected to speakers which are on, there is a terrible sound until I turn the player on and it boots up. This has stopped me from using the sleep timer when I go to bed because I just wake up with a massive noise, so I just leave it play the whole night through. I know it's a hardware fault, but maybe something could be done.
Once again,
Thanks allot for this, everyone!
