Many people have had this sort of problem, including myself. The player wouldn't stop loading and it looked like the motor on the laser was broken. The FM worked fine though. I e-mailed iRiver and they eventually sent me an RMA. I sent it back and got a brand new replacement. My warrenty was dead for over a year too! At first, I thought they ignored my e-mail, but they're just slow to respond. Expect it to take over a week or two form them to reply to your e-mail. Or you may try calling.
