The player can only read files from the first fat32 partition on the drive.
I am sure most drives come allready partitioned so it is just a matter of formating the drive.
Unfortunatly microsoft don't want you to format large drives with fat32 so you need to format the drive with win98 or find another way to format. Win 2k and xp can't format drives bigger than 32gb with fat32.
Trying to get the player to format itself (internal format) didn't work with my 80gb drive. It just said format error. Since the firmware only has to deal with two different drives they proberly cut a lot of corners to keep the size of the firmware down and so it won't work with any other drives.
