don't they make single plate 40's now? they were just released by toshiba i believe.
:edit:
it appears that somebody else already pointed that out..
i just bought an h320, and I really don't like it. my ihp 120's drive died, it said check hdd connection, so i did, i removed it and reattached it several times and it still wont work, and the wire connections seem fine.. so i think after countless falls the hd finally got fried. i'm ready to plop down 120 or however much it is for a new 20gb or whatever i can get that's single platter and larger than 20, but how would i go about making it work with the player? would the player automatically create the partitions it needs to hold firmware?
can someone who's swapped out drives explain exactly what i need to do here? and can someone also tell me how i can be completely sure if my old 20gig drive is dead. if it isnt maybe the connector's just screwed and all i have to do is some soldering.. thanks
