if you consider that USB TG is really a fudge on usb connectivity, it's hardly suprising some kit wont 'talk' to each other properly.
I dont doubt that the 'universal' aspect can be solved, but if USB TG had been part of the whole USB spec (or even USB 2.0 only), a lot of the problems pending TG compatabilty would have had to be tackled from the beginning.
There are 'old' usb devices that still 'play up' with modern USB2 controllers on PC's, so dont be holding yer breath on 'total compliancy' being solved overnight :P
