Thanks for the explanation floodgate. Yeah, I received a pretty rude New Year SMS today, where the words 'gong xi fa cai' were all substituted with something else. I've already deleted the message and can't remember what they were..

We got a nice CNY present yesterday - successfully passing on our Permanent Residency application. Woo hoo!
