Hi Sidane,

during the charging time the battery keeps cool. So there is no heat produced by the battery when you charge it.

AND! An air gap between the cpu and the cooler is very bad. Air is an bad heat conductor. So you have to use heat-conductive paste.

But don't worry. As I said. The battery didn't produce heat during the discharging and charging procedure. Only the harddisk and "electronics" inside the player getting warm during work.
