Hello i have a question for "technicaly challenged guys",

Okay i must admit i've not made my "battery pack" by myself... Indeed i bought recently the Boxwave minisync (with charging plug) and also the battery pack that plugs into the minisync to recharge the iHP with 4 AA batteries...

The issue is that if i use AA not-rechargeable cells (aka LR6) i'll get:
4x1.5V=6V this is more than the required 5V I imagine it will fry my iHP...

So the other solution is to use 4 NiMh rechargeable AA cell that are 1.2V (each one). The i'll get:
4*1.2V=4.8V ok then it isn't to much but it isn't really enough since 4.8V<5V... :/
Will it be an issue?

Another question is that: the Boxwave battery pack is made to fit into the minisync which will be pluged into the iHP...
So is there any "resistor" that adapt the 6V entry to 5V output (according to the USB specification)?
I'll ask to boxwave customer service about this but if someone can answer my questions i'll be evry happy

Best regards,
tanguy

PS: Sorry if I'm not a DIYer but i've really no time at tis moment to make theses accessories by myself (if i had the technical competences, i guess i may have)
ANyway I'll enter the DIY club when i'd able to buy a bigger 1.8'' HD (40Gig monoplatter) and a more powerfull internal battery (2100mAh)... I already bought my T5 minitorx (from jeff eStore ) for this convenience..

Cheers;
tanguy
